Job summary

Bechtel in Millersport, OH is seeking a lead field engineer to supervise work planning, packaging, material control, and turnover coordination for a 1.3 GW project adjacent to a hyperscale data center campus.

You will ensure safety, quality, and timely turnover of systems, coordinating with design, startup, and subcontractors. Requires a bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of power-plant experience, with U.S. work authorization.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years without a degree.
• Experience on power plants facilities is preferred.
• Knowledge of modularization of piping and pipe racks, above ground & below ground piping systems and line testing preferred.
• Computer literate in word processing, spreadsheets, and database applications.
• Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards (ASME I, ASME B31.1).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving ability.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams.
• Must have work authorization within the United States.
• Familiarity with Bechtel applications (TeamWorks, SetRoute, PipeFighter, SteelSlayer, Aconex, SP3D/Navisworks).

Responsibilities

• Lead field engineering activities for work planning and packaging.
• Manage material management, quantity validation and turnover coordination.
• Ensure safety and quality control across the operation.
• Coordinate with design on constructability issues.
• Oversee direct hire and subcontractor coordination.
• Review inspection test plans and subcontractor submittals.
