Job summary

Bechtel Corporation seeks a Senior Mechanical Construction Leader to oversee piping, rotating equipment, tanks and balance-of-plant systems on major EPC projects across the USA.

You will lead field superintendents, coordinate with Field Engineering, QA/QC, logistics and commissioning teams, and drive safety, quality and productivity on multiple fronts. Experience with AWP and turnover planning is a plus.

Qualifications

• Requires bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 10–13 years of relevant experience.
• Large EPC industrial or power project construction experience.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical construction means and methods.
• Experience with piping systems, rotating equipment, and static equipment installation.
• Experience with gas turbine and power generation equipment installation preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
• Familiarity with Advanced Work Packaging (AWP) and turnover planning preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides field leadership and coordination for all mechanical construction activities.
• Oversees safety, quality, productivity, and schedule adherence across multiple fronts.
• Leads Mechanical Superintendents and coordinates with Field Engineering, QA/QC, and commissioning teams.
• Plans work sequencing and subcontractor coordination to achieve milestones.
• Manages subcontractors, direct hire crews, and vendor interfaces.
