Job summary

Bechtel is seeking an experienced lead engineer to manage field engineering for a 1.3 GW power facility in Millersport, OH. You will oversee work planning, material management, and subcontracts to ensure safe, on-time turnover of systems.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 8–14 years of relevant experience, with strong leadership and communication skills. This role requires US work authorization and willingness to work extended schedules on a large-scale project.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or international equivalent; 8–10 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multi-discipline workstreams.
• Experience with power plant projects and modularization is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineer for a defined area, coordinating multiple disciplines.
• Ensure safety and quality control across field engineering activities.
• Direct material requisitions and procurement coordination.
• Oversee quantity take-off, reporting and forecasting.
• Coordinate system turnover with startup teams and subcontractors.
• Review inspection test plans and subcontractor submittals.
