Job summary

Beyond New Horizons (BNH) is seeking an Experienced Piping Engineer to join the Pressure and Hazardous Material Systems (PHMS) team at Arnold AFB, TN. The role focuses on certifying and maintaining mechanical integrity of piping systems and pressure vessels used in ground testing of air and space systems, applying ASME and API codes to support inspections.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college or university with 8+ years of post-degree experience in process piping, code compliance, and piping/mechanical integrity assessments.

Responsibilities

• Inspect pressure vessels and piping systems via field visits and report findings.
• Perform ASME code calculations, piping flexibility, stress analysis, and Fitness for Service assessments.
• Provide guidance on code compliance for pressurized systems across AEDC facilities.
• Review as-built drawings and develop field-checked drawings for each system.
• Collect data from field visits for use in mechanical integrity assessments.
• Communicate results and recommendations to engineers and cross-functional teams.
