Job summary

Beyond New Horizons seeks an early to mid-career Piping Engineer to support the PHMS team at Arnold AFB, TN. The role focuses on piping systems, pressure vessels, and facility infrastructure used in ground testing for air and space systems.

Responsibilities include ASME/API code calculations, inspections, data collection, and technical reporting to ensure safety and reliability for mission-critical air force tests.

Qualifications

• BS degree in mechanical engineering plus a minimum of 2 years of professional engineering experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance and AEDC access.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for employment at AEDC.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering analysis, calculations, field inspections and consultations for piping systems and pressure vessels.
• Apply ASME/API codes and standards to in-service inspections and mechanical integrity assessments.
• Communicate findings and coordinate with senior engineers to ensure safety and readiness.
• Review drawings, collect field data, and support Fitness-for-Service assessments.
• Create technical reports documenting analyses, results and recommendations.
• Work in industrial environments including confined spaces and elevations.
