Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Mid to Senior Piping Designer to join our Englewood, CO, Casper, WY, or Billings, MT offices. You will design piping systems for pipeline, pump, compressor stations, and tank projects with a team of experienced engineers.

You will develop 3D models and drawings using Civil 3D, Plant 3D, CADWorx, and Revit, and mentor junior designers while ensuring code compliance and quality. This in-office role offers growth and exposure to nationwide projects and diverse teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD/CADD or equivalent
• 5–15 years in 3D design/drafting
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Access
• Experience with Autodesk Plant3D, AutoCAD, Navisworks, Cadworx, Revit, Civil 3D
• Familiar with design codes and standards
• Strong written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering and design teams
• Develop 3D models and technical drawings
• Create Overall Site plans, Piping Plans, Isometrics and orthographic views
• Prepare piping component files for stress analysis
• Produce material take-off reports
• Interpret P&ID diagrams
• Mentor junior designers and share guidance
