Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. is seeking a Mid to Senior Piping Designer for Englewood, CO, Casper, WY, or Billings, MT. You will design piping systems for pipelines, pump stations, and terminals, supporting a nationwide Oil & Gas team with a 41+ year track record.

Responsibilities include 3D modeling, create isometrics and drawings, mentor junior staff, and ensure adherence to piping standards. This in-office role offers travel up to 25% and a competitive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in CAD or equivalent.
• 5-15 Years Experience in 3D design and/or drafting.
• Experience with Autodesk Civil 3D, Plant 3D, CADWorx and/or Revit.
• Proficient with MS Outlook, Word, Excel and Access.
• Exposure to Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, Projectwise and SharePoint a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Self-starter capable of handling solo projects as well as working with a group, eager to learn and expand your skillset, and be detail oriented.

Responsibilities

• Work with multi-disciplined engineering and design teams.
• Utilize 3D modeling and design software.
• Familiar with piping specifications and design codes/standards.
• Conduct field walk downs of facilities.
• Mentor junior designers and provide guidance.
• Develop mechanical drawings: site plans, piping plans, isometrics, ortho views, and details.
• Create piping component files for stress analysis.
• Prepare material take-off reports.
