Job summary

Tetra Tech, Inc. seeks a Mid-Senior Pipeline and Facilities Design Engineer for an in-office role in Englewood, CO, with flexibility across Billings, MT and Casper, WY.

You will lead multi-disciplinary design teams on pipeline, pump station, and tank projects, delivering PFDs, P&IDs, and 30–100% drawings. The role requires strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with willingness to travel up to 25% and to collaborate across time zones.

Qualifications

• B.S. in an ABET-accredited engineering program (5–15+ years experience).
• FE exam completed or preferred; PE licensure preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Experience in midstream Oil & Gas industry favored; knowledge of ASME B31.4/31.8 and CFR standards.
• Ability to lead and mentor engineers and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Proficiency with design tools and software used for piping, facilities, and project workflows.

Responsibilities

• Provide design engineering support for pipeline, pump stations, and tanks projects nationwide.
• Lead design reviews and coordinate with client leads and project managers.
• Develop PFDs and P&IDs, 30–100% design drawings, and as-built documentation.
• Oversee equipment sizing, MAOP calculations, and material specifications.
• Collaborate on project scopes, cost estimates, schedules, and procurement activities.
