Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Mid-Senior Pipeline and Facilities Design Engineer to work on intricate pipeline, pump station, and terminal projects across Englewood, CO, Billings, MT, and Casper, WY. The role leads a multidisciplinary team, applies hydraulic modeling, PFD/P&ID development, and 30–90% design deliverables.

Occasional field data gathering and travel up to 25% are required. The ideal candidate has a BS in engineering, FE preferred, and possibly PE licensure.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering degree required; 5–15+ years in relevant fields.
• FE exam completed preferred; PE licensure preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Midstream oil & gas experience preferred; knowledge of ASME B31.4/B31.8 and CFR standards.
• Ability to coordinate with clients and SMEs; strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office and project management tools; travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Provide design engineering support for pipeline, pump stations, and terminals nationwide.
• Lead multi-disciplinary project teams and perform technical reviews.
• Develop PFDs, P&IDs, and 30/60/90% design deliverables.
• Perform hydraulic calculations, line sizing, MAOP calculations.
• Prepare construction bid packages and assist procurement activities.
