Hargrove Engineers & Constructors in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a Senior Piping Design Checker to lead a team of designers and deliver mechanical and piping scope on schedule and within budget.

The ideal candidate has 25+ years of industrial piping drafting and design experience, an Associate degree, SPED preferred, and strong knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and MicroStation, with proven project coordination and mentoring abilities. On-site role with startup support and client liaison.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Engineering Technology or CAD required.
• 25+ years of relevant mechanical/piping drafting experience.
• Knowledge of piping materials, supports, and sizing.
• Proficiency with 2D AutoCAD and MicroStation; MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead a design staff to meet scope, schedule and budget objectives.
• Produce mechanical and piping installation specifications.
• Coordinate work with other staff and discipline lead.
• Mentor less experienced drafters and review calculations.
• Support startup on-site and provide technical guidance.
