Job summary

Stantec is seeking a highly skilled environmental professional to lead and manage midstream permitting and energy transition projects across the United States. The role focuses on FERC-regulated pipelines, NEPA processes, and strong client relationships, with flexibility for remote work and multiple office locations.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 years in similar roles, 5 years direct experience with FERC permit applications, and a Bachelor’s or higher in Environmental Science.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Science or related field.
• 7+ years of work experience in a similar role.
• 5+ years direct experience preparing/managing FERC permit applications.
• Experience with Threatened & Endangered Species, 404/10, CZMA, and Section 106.
• Strong oral and written communication and client management.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management for oil & gas midstream permitting projects and energy transition projects across the US.
• Manage permit applications and agency coordination related to T&E species, 404/10, CZMA, and Section 106 resources.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships and support proposal development.
• Create technical documents and review materials to support regulatory submissions.
• Support and ensure HSSE policy implementation across project phases and coordinate with HSSE professionals.
• Collaborate with Environmental and Regulatory Specialists to ensure consistency in project execution.
• Work as part of a larger midstream & energy permitting team with opportunities to support multiple Stantec projects nationwide.
