Job summary

Stantec seeks an experienced Environmental Permitting professional to lead complex pipeline and energy project approvals across the United States, with a focus on FERC-regulated works and NEPA compliance. This role offers a flexible location, opportunities to work remotely, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers in a growing environmental practice.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Environmental Science or related field.
• Minimum of 7 or more years work experience in a similar position.
• Minimum of 5 years direct experience preparing, managing and authoring FERC permit applications.
• Direct experience preparing and managing permit applications related to Threatened and Endangered Species, Sections 404/10, CZMA and Section 106.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management for oil & gas midstream permits and energy projects across the US.
• Coordinate permit applications with agencies for T&E species, 404/10, CZMA and Section 106.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships and support business development.
• Prepare and review technical documents for regulatory submissions.
• Support Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and practices in project execution.
• Collaborate with Environmental and Regulatory Specialists to ensure consistent project delivery.
• Contribute to a national midstream permitting team and support multiple projects and offices.
