Job summary

Stantec is seeking an environmental professional to lead permitting for oil & gas midstream projects and energy transition efforts across the United States. The position offers location flexibility with remote work and collaboration with specialists in biology, geology, engineering, and policy.

Ideal candidates bring 7+ years in similar roles, 5+ years directing FERC permit applications, and strong written and oral communication to serve clients and regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.
• 7+ years of work experience in a similar role.
• 5+ years direct experience preparing FERC permit applications.
• Experience with Threatened and Endangered Species, Section 404/10, CZMA and Section 106.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management for oil & gas midstream permitting projects and energy transition initiatives.
• Manage permit applications and agency coordination for species, 404/10, CZMA and Section 106 resources.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and support proposal development.
• Create technical documents to support regulatory submissions.
• Support HSSE policies and coordinate with HSSE professionals during project execution.
• Collaborate with Environmental and Regulatory Specialists to ensure consistency.
