Job summary

Stantec is seeking an exceptionally talented environmental professional to lead permitting for oil & gas midstream projects and energy transition initiatives across the United States. You will provide technical leadership, manage permit applications, and coordinate with regulators to deliver regulator-ready documents for FERC-regulated pipelines and related projects.

The role emphasizes building strong client relationships, supporting proposals, and upholding HSSE standards within a nationwide

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years work experience in a similar position.
• Minimum of 5 years direct experience preparing, managing and authoring FERC permit applications.
• Experience with Threatened and Endangered Species, Sections 404/10, CZMA, and Section 106 Cultural Resources.
• Strong oral and written communication and client-focused skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage heavy workloads.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management for oil & gas midstream permitting and energy transition projects nationwide.
• Manage permit applications and agency coordination for FERC, NEPA, and related regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain positive client relationships and support proposal development.
• Prepare and review technical documents supporting regulatory submissions.
• Ensure Health, Safety and Environment policies are implemented across all work phases.
• Collaborate with environmental and regulatory specialists to maintain consistency.
• Support multiple projects and offices across the nationwide team.
