Job summary

Stantec is seeking an experienced environmental professional to lead permitting for oil & gas midstream and energy transition projects. You will coordinate with agencies on FERC, NEPA, and cultural resources, while building strong client relationships across the US.

The role is flexible within the Gulf region; the position supports multiple offices nationwide and requires strong project management and regulatory knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7+ years of work experience in a similar permitting role.
• Direct experience preparing and managing FERC permit applications.
• Experience coordinating with agencies on threatened and endangered species, 404/10, CZMA, and Section 106.
• Strong communication and client-relations skills; ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and project management for oil & gas midstream permitting and energy transition projects.
• Manage permit applications and agency coordination for regulatory compliance.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and support proposal development.
• Create and review technical documents supporting regulatory submissions.
• Ensure health, safety and environmental policies are implemented across projects.
• Collaborate with Environmental and Regulatory Specialists to ensure consistency in execution.
• Support multiple Stantec projects and offices nationwide within the team.
