Job summary

Stantec seeks a highly skilled environmental professional to lead permitting for oil & gas midstream and energy transition projects across the US. You will coordinate permit applications, engage with agencies, and manage regulatory documents while ensuring health, safety, and environmental standards.

The role emphasizes strong client relationships, proposal support, and working within a flexible Gulf-region team with opportunities across the US.

Qualifications

  • Experience managing pipeline projects and permitting large natural gas or liquids pipelines.
  • Knowledge of FERC and NEPA requirements and related mitigation.
  • Experience managing FERC-regulated projects including 7(b)/7(c) and prior notice/blanket authorization.
  • Experience preparing and managing permit applications and agency coordination (Threatened & Endangered Species, Sections 404/10, CZMA, Section 106).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to balance heavy workloads in a mobile environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and project management for oil & gas midstream permitting projects and energy transition projects across the US.
  • Manage permit applications and agency coordination related to environmental and cultural resources.
  • Develop and maintain positive client relationships and support proposal development.
  • Create and review technical documents supporting regulatory submissions.
  • Ensure health, safety, and environment policies are followed in all project phases.
  • Collaborate with other Environmental and Regulatory Specialists to maintain consistency in project execution.
  • Support multiple Stantec projects and offices nationwide.
