Job summary

Tetra Tech seeks a Mid-Senior Pipeline and Facilities Design Engineer to support pipeline, pump station, and terminal/tank projects nationwide from Englewood, CO, Billings, MT, or Casper, WY. You will lead design work, review workflows, and ensure compliance with industry standards while coordinating with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires strong analytical skills, familiarity with ASME standards, and the ability to travel for field data collection and on-site meetings.

Qualifications

• B.S. in ABET accredited Engineering program (5-15+ years of relevant experience).
• Fellow Engineering Exam (FE) preferred; PE licensure preferred or willingness to attain.
• Experience in the Midstream Oil & Gas industry preferred.
• Strong understanding of applicable engineering standards (ASME B31.4, B31.8, CFR 192/195, NACE).
• Willingness to travel to meet project needs for on-site data gathering.

Responsibilities

• This position provides engineering support for pipeline, pump station, and terminal/tank projects nationwide.
• Lead and/or participate in internal design reviews and client design reviews.
• Development of project design drawings including 30%, 60%, 90% and Issued for Bid/Construction stages.
• Hydraulic calculations, line sizing, pipe material grade and MAOP calculations.
• Coordinate and expediting for project procurement activities and vendor proposals.
• Develop project scopes of work, design basis documentation, and construction bid packages.
