Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking a Mid-Senior Pipeline and Facilities Design Engineer in Englewood, CO, Billings, MT, or Casper, WY. The role focuses on pipeline, pump station, and terminal projects with leadership responsibilities in a multi-disciplinary team.

Ideal candidates bring PE or FE, midstream oil & gas experience, and proficiency in design standards such as ASME B31.4/B31.8. Travel and in-office collaboration are required as part of delivering high-quality engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• B.S. in ABET accredited Engineering program; 5–15+ years of relevant experience.
• FE exam completed preferred.
• PE licensure preferred or willingness to attain.
• NCEES record preferred or willingness to attain.
• Midstream Oil & Gas experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of ASME B31.4, B31.8 and CFR 192/195; NACE, etc.
• Experience coordinating with client stakeholders and offshore team members.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Proficiency with Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Project/Access.
• Willingness to travel for on-site data gathering or meetings.
• Experience with hydraulic modeling and pipe stress modeling preferred.
• Experience with scheduling and cost-estimating tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for pipeline, pump stations, and terminal projects nationwide.
• Lead design reviews with internal teams and clients.
• Develop project scopes of work and design basis documentation.
• Coordinate procurement activities including RFQ/RFP packages.
• Incorporate compliance and permitting inputs into designs.
• Perform hydraulic calculations and MAOP assessments.
• Develop detailed design drawings at various project phases.
• Travel up to 25% to support on-site data gathering and meetings.
