Job summary

AAA – The Auto Club Group is hiring a Senior Michigan PIP Claim Specialist – Litigation. The role involves independently managing complex, litigated Michigan No-Fault/PIP claims, including investigations, strategy, and negotiations.

You must reside in Michigan and may work remotely from a home office; occasional court appearances and statewide travel are required. Responsibilities include reviewing claims, complex coverage analysis, identifying benefits, and documenting files.

Qualifications

• Complete ACG Claim Representative Training Program or demonstrate equivalent knowledge or experience
• Eligible to acquire a State Adjuster’s license within 90 days of hire and maintain as specified for appropriate states
• A valid driver’s license is required if the primary responsibilities involve in-person inspections or meetings
• Five years of experience or equivalent training in negotiation, investigations, subrogation, and claims resolution
• Knowledge of Michigan No-Fault/PIP, MCCA, and related statutes

Responsibilities

• Review assigned claims and document in the claim handling system
• Complete complex coverage analysis
• Identify all possible policyholder benefits
• Create sub-claims if needed
• Investigate facts to determine payment, limits, and recovery potential
• Review damages and applicability of state law
• Evaluate the financial value of losses
• Approve payments and refer claims to other units as needed
• Represent AAA in court and coordinate with guardians, attorneys, and treatment teams
