Job summary

TeleData Technologies seeks an experienced Physical Security Systems Technician to configure, program, commission, integrate, and troubleshoot physical security systems in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Systems Division supports project teams with specialized technical resources on configuration, commissioning and related needs.

The role involves hands-on programming and troubleshooting across video surveillance, access-control, intrusion, intercom, and other security platforms, with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of hands-on experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of physical security system configuration, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of IP addressing, subnetting, network communication, PoE, and basic network troubleshooting.
• Ability to read drawings, wiring diagrams, device schedules, specifications, and manufacturer documentation.
• Strong technical documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Configure and program physical security hardware, software, servers, databases, controllers, cameras, workstations, and connected devices.
• Commission systems and verify device communication, recording, access-control functions, alarms, intercom operation, analytics, and integrations.
• Coordinate assigned technical work with Project Managers and the Systems Field Supervisor.
• Identify and document installation or infrastructure deficiencies that prevent successful configuration or commissioning, and communicate corrective requirements to the Project Manager.
• Diagnose hardware, software, network, database, communication, and integration problems.
• Provide technical assistance to TeleData personnel when requested.
