Job summary

Sciens Building Solutions is seeking an experienced Security Service Technician with programming, troubleshooting, and repair capabilities to support our service team and clients in maintaining critical life safety systems.

This role requires attention to detail, strong communication, and the ability to work with various security technologies. Onsite work with travel occasionally may be required, along with OSHA precautions and safety training.

Qualifications

• Two to five (2-5) years of experience in a technician role within the building security systems industry.
• Knowledge of current security systems including access control, IP video, and voice and data systems.
• State, local, contract, and/or product specific certifications determined by the business.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair security systems including analog, IP, addressable, and networked solutions.
• Program and maintain intermediate equipment and systems including intrusion detection, video surveillance, asset protection, environmental detection, holdup/duress, integrated systems and equipment related to the alarm monitoring station.
• Use tools to analyze systems and detect fault conditions.
• Produce repair reports for customer acceptance and billing information.
• Produce field surveys and daily project logs of activity.
• Take ownership of onsite projects including safety, quality, and performance.
• Train and develop other Service Technicians on equipment and company policies and procedures.
