Job summary

CDW is seeking a Senior Consulting Engineer to design, implement, and support advanced physical security solutions for diverse clients. You will lead technical engagements, collaborate with sales teams, and drive architectural decisions across video surveillance, access control, and related technologies.

The role requires hands-on Genetec/Verkada experience, strong client communication, and readiness to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher with 5+ years delivering complex technical solutions or 9+ years with equivalent experience.
Hands-on Genetec or Verkada Systems Engineering experience.
Willingness to travel 25–50% and work weekends/off-hours as needed.
Experience in infrastructure/network environments, LANs/WANs, and network security practices.

Responsibilities

Consult with clients to plan, design, implement, and support physical security systems.
Design and implement technical architecture and physical network design for security solutions.
Set up, configure, test, and integrate video surveillance, access control, sensors, and third-party systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware/software issues.
Assist Account Managers during sales by identifying cross-sell opportunities and educating customers on new tech.
Manage projects using CDW's project management methodology and lifecycle processes.
Ensure a stable performance environment for enterprise applications and participate in IT projects.
