Job summary

Consolidated Edison Company of New York is seeking an experienced security engineer to evaluate, install, and maintain enterprise security systems across company facilities. You will design and implement access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and related IT/security integrations.

The role requires strong knowledge of fiber optic networking, security hardware and software, and the ability to work with IT and business stakeholders. Travel to sites in the service territory may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience supporting physical security projects.
• Experience with access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and hardware/software integration.
• Strong knowledge of network security principles and fiber optic networking.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain enterprise security systems across corporate facilities.
• Lead security technology projects including installation, configuration, and lifecycle management.
• Evaluate and deploy security hardware, software, and communications equipment.
• Conduct vulnerability assessments to protect critical infrastructure.
• Coordinate with IT and business stakeholders for integrated solutions.
• Develop security specifications and installation proposals.
• Provide guidance to employees, vendors, and end users.
• Advise leadership on innovation, improvements, and capital investments.
• Install and support surveillance systems, servers, workstations, and networking infrastructure.
