Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a highly experienced Physical Security Design Lead and Contract Document Specialist to join the Global Design Engineering Construction team.

You will author and continuously enhance the contract document basis of design (BOD) and the reusable design templates (drawings, specifications, schedules, and ancillary documents) that drive the consistency and quality of contract documents across Anthropic's global office facility build program.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6+ years of design engineering experience with contract document development for physical security/low-voltage systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, intercommunications, radio, and network systems; able to author specs, drawings, schedules from scratch.
• Understanding of A/E deliverables and phases (SD/DD/CD, RIBA), CSI specs, equipment schedules, and construction administration.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance the contract document basis of design (BOD) and design templates for security systems.
• Serve as contract-document SME; review consultant deliverables for accuracy and alignment with the BOD; coordinate across disciplines.
• Support bid, construction, and handover phases through clarifications, RFIs, submittal reviews, and closeout documentation.
• Collaborate with GSIS, Real Estate, Network Team, design consultants, and security integrators to capture operational needs and translate into BOD revisions.
• Maintain GSIS design library under version control with change logs and improved QA tools.
• Implement automations, AI-assisted workflows, BIM add-ins, and data-processing tools across projects.
