Job summary

Anthropic, based in New York, seeks a lead design engineer to own contract documents for physical security and low‑voltage systems across global office builds. You will craft BODs, develop reusable design templates, and serve as the technical authority for access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, intercommunications, radio, and network systems.

Qualifications

6+ years of design engineering experience, with ownership of contract document development for physical security and/or low-voltage systems.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
Core technical expertise in access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, intercommunications, radio, and network systems; ability to author specs, drawings, and equipment schedules from scratch.
Strong understanding of A/E deliverables and phases (SD/DD/CD), CSI-format specs, equipment schedules, and submittal processes.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance the contract document basis of design (BOD) and templates for security systems.
Author and evolve design templates for access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, intercommunications, radio, and network systems.
Review design deliverables for accuracy and alignment with the BOD; coordinate across architectural, electrical/fire alarm, network, AV, and Real Estate/Workplace disciplines.
Support bid, construction, and handover phases through clarifications, RFIs, submittal reviews, and closeout documentation.
Collaborate with GSIS, Real Estate/Workplace, Network Team, design consultants, and security integrators to translate operational needs into BOD/template revisions.
