Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Physical Security Design Lead and Contract Document Specialist to join the Global Design Engineering Construction team. You will author and enhance the contract basis of design and reusable templates for office facilities worldwide, acting as the technical authority for access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, and related systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6+ years of design engineering experience with ownership of contract document development for physical security and/or low‑voltage systems.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Core technical expertise in access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, intercommunications, radio, and network systems, able to author specifications, drawings, and equipment schedules from scratch.
• Strong understanding of A/E deliverables and phases (SD/DD/CD), CSI‑format specifications, equipment schedules, and construction administration submittal processes.
• Ability to develop and implement internal tools (web applications, BIM add‑ins, scripting/automation).
• Detail‑oriented with strong communication skills and willingness to travel for site coordination.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance the contract document basis of design (BOD) and design templates for security systems.
• Author and evolve design templates for access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, intercommunications, radio, and network systems.
• Review consultant design deliverables for accuracy and alignment with the BOD, coordinating across disciplines.
• Support bid, construction, and handover phases through clarifications, RFIs, submittal reviews, and as‑build documentation.
• Collaborate with GSIS, Real Estate/Workplace, Network Team, and consultants to translate needs into BOD and templates.
