Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC seeks a Physical Security Design Engineer and Contract Document Specialist to join the Global DEC team. You will author and maintain contract documents, templates, and specifications for access control, intrusion, video surveillance, intercommunications, radio, and network systems.

You will coordinate with GSIS, Real Estate, and cross-functional partners, implementing AI-assisted workflows to accelerate documentation updates and ensure quality across project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 6+ years in design engineering for physical security or low-voltage systems.
• Ability to author specifications, drawings, and equipment schedules from scratch.
• Strong understanding of A/E deliverables and CSI-format specifications.
• Experience developing internal tools (web apps, BIM add-ins, scripting).
• Willingness to travel for site/co-ordination visits.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance the contract document basis of design (BOD) and templates for security systems.
• Author and evolve design templates for access control, intrusion, and video surveillance.
• Review design consultant deliverables for accuracy and alignment with the BOD; coordinate across disciplines.
• Support bid, construction, and handover phases with clarifications and submittal reviews.
• Capture lessons learned and translate into BOD and template revisions.
• Maintain the GSIS design library under version control with change-management logs.
