Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a highly experienced Physical Security Design Lead and Contract Document Specialist to join the Global Design Engineering Construction team. This role leads contract documents, design templates, and technical standards for access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, and network systems across international office builds.

Qualifications

Minimum of 6+ years of design engineering experience with contract document development for physical security or low-voltage systems.
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
Core technical expertise in access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, intercommunications, radio, and network systems; ability to author specs, drawings, and equipment schedules from scratch.
Strong understanding of A/E deliverables, CSI formats, and construction administration submittal processes.
Experience developing internal tools (web apps, BIM add-ins, scripting, automation).

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance the contract document Basis of Design (BOD) and templates for security systems.
Author and evolve design templates (drawings, specifications, equipment schedules, riser diagrams) for access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, intercommunications, radio, and network systems.
Review consultant deliverables for accuracy and alignment with the BOD; coordinate across architectural, electrical, network, AV, and Real Estate / Workplace disciplines.
Support bid, construction, and handover phases with clarifications, RFIs, submittal reviews, and as-built traceability.
Collaborate with GSIS, Real Estate / Workplace, Network Team, and security integrators; translate requirements into BOD and template revisions.
Maintain the GSIS design library under version control and document changes; provide status updates to the Physical Security DEC Manager.
Implement automations, AI-assisted workflows, BIM add-ins, and data-processing tools to streamline design tasks and enforce global standards.
