Job summary

Intel Corporation in Folsom, CA seeks a Senior Physical Design Integration Engineer to lead the physical design flow for custom CPUs from RTL to GDS. The role requires deep expertise in synthesis, placement, routing, clock tree synthesis, floorplanning, timing analysis, and power integrity.

You will closely collaborate with logic, circuit, architecture, and EDA teams to optimize performance, power, and area, while mentoring a small team and contributing to methodology improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of relevant experience or Master's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience
• Capable of leading a small team and interfacing with architecture and design teams to improve IP and product quality

Responsibilities

• Lead physical design implementation for custom CPU designs from RTL to GDS
• Perform synthesis, place & route, clock tree synthesis, floor planning, and timing/power integrity analyses
• Collaborate with logic, circuit, architecture, and design automation teams to optimize performance, power, and area
• Work with industry EDA vendors to enhance tool capabilities for high-speed, low-power CPUs
