Job summary

Intel is seeking a Senior CPU Physical Design Engineer to drive physical implementation of next-generation CPUs from RTL to manufacturing. You will optimize performance, power, area, and manufacturability while collaborating with architecture, logic, circuit, CAD, and validation teams.

You will also work within the Silicon and Platform Engineering Group to advance CPU microarchitectures and develop robust design methodologies for industry-leading products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher with relevant CPU physical design experience.
• Experience with RTL-to-GDS workflows and tape-out processes.
• Proficiency in EDA tools and scripting for automation.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical design implementation for custom CPU designs and transform RTL into manufacturing data.
• Execute floor planning, synthesis, place-and-route, CTS, STA, power/clock distribution, and noise analysis.
• Conduct verification and signoff including formal and reliability checks.
