Job summary

Natera is seeking a Sr Phlebotomist to serve patients onsite in Springfield, Massachusetts. The role focuses on identifying the best method for blood collection, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and performing screening procedures.

You will verify test requisitions, perform venipunctures and finger sticks, maintain specimen integrity, and ensure compliance with HIPAA/PHI privacy and hospital policies. Requires 5+ years phlebotomy experience; HS diploma required; BS/BA preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of phlebotomy experience.
• BS/BA degree preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Phlebotomy certificate if state requires.

Responsibilities

• Verifies test requisitions and resolves discrepancies with nursing staff.
• Obtains blood specimens by venipuncture and finger sticks.
• Maintains specimen integrity using aseptic technique.
• Tracks specimens and maintains daily tallies of collections.
• Verifies accuracy of results and logs quality-control data.
• Complies with HIPAA/PHI privacy and hospital policies.
• Communicates unresolved orders to physicians or supervisors.
• Participates in ongoing training and professional development.
• Handles billing inquiries and coordinates courier pickups.
