Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Typically requires 3 years of phlebotomy and/or related laboratory experience.
• Knowledge of laboratory terminology and basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and collect specimens from newborn, pediatric, and adult patients per protocol.
• Receive, sort, and transport laboratory specimens; maintain specimen IDs and records.
• Process specimens for testing; centrifuge, aliquot, and store samples; load instruments.
• Assist physicians with patient procedures and prepare basic histology stains as needed; support CAP histology checklist requirements.
