Job summary

Qualifications

• Certification as a phlebotomist (AMT, ASCP, ASPT, NHA, or NPA)
• High School diploma or GED required; phlebotomy training or 6 months experience
• Experience with lab procedures and specimen collection preferred

Responsibilities

• Collects and processes patient blood via venipuncture and capillary puncture
• Ensures proper patient identification and labeling of specimens
• Delivers specimens promptly to the laboratory
• Trains new teammates and students in department procedures
