Job summary

Grady Health System in Atlanta is seeking a Phlebotomist to join a dedicated healthcare team. You will perform venipuncture and microcollection with precision, ensuring accurate specimen collection and timely entry of data into the Laboratory Information System (LIS) to support quality patient care.

Responsibilities include POC testing, maintaining specimen integrity, and acting as a Senior Phlebotomist when needed to guide peers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician required by: NHA, NPCE, NCCT, AMT, or ASCP.
• At least 1 year of hospital-based phlebotomy experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and microcollection with precision and compassion.
• Ensure timely, high-quality specimen collection, processing, and distribution.
• Accurately enter and maintain patient and specimen data in the LIS.
• Perform Point-of-Ccare (POC) testing in accordance with departmental guidelines.
• Serve as a Senior Phlebotomist when needed, providing guidance and support to peers.
