Job summary

Grady Health System in Atlanta is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our laboratory team. You will perform venipuncture, collect specimens, and ensure accurate data entry in the LIS to support timely patient care.

Responsibilities include high-quality specimen collection, POC testing compliance, and mentoring peers as a Senior Phlebotomist when needed. A strong commitment to safety and patient experience is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification required by one of the listed certifying bodies (NHA, NPCE, NCCT, AMT, ASCP).
• At least one year of hospital-based phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and microcollection with precision and compassion.
• Ensure timely, high-quality specimen collection, processing, and distribution.
• Accurately enter and maintain patient and specimen data in the LIS.
• Perform Point-of-Care (POC) testing in accordance with departmental guidelines.
• Serve as a Senior Phlebotomist when needed, providing guidance and support to peers.
