Job summary

Grady Health System in Atlanta, GA is seeking a dedicated Phlebotomist to join our dynamic laboratory team. You will perform venipuncture, microcollection, and POCT testing with precision while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and national certification as a Phlebotomy Technician from NHA, NPCE, NCCT, AMT, or ASCP. Hospital-based experience is preferred, and you will work under CLSI guidelines and LIS data entry standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Certified Phlebotomy Technician required by: NHA, NPCE, NCCT, AMT, or ASCP.
• At least 1 year of hospital-based phlebotomy experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and microcollection with precision and compassion.
• Ensure timely, high-quality specimen collection, processing, and distribution.
• Enter and maintain patient and specimen data in the LIS.
• Perform Point-of-Care testing per guidelines and assist peers as needed.
