Penn Medicine is seeking a Level II Phlebotomist to join our phlebotomy team. The successful candidate demonstrates accuracy, professionalism, and adherence to safety standards while performing a broad range of collections.

This role mentors Level I staff and supports complex tasks within the department. Responsibilities include proper specimen collection, accurate labeling, entry into EMR/LIS, and maintaining a safe work environment.

Qualificações

• Certification as PBT or MLA (ASCP) is required.
• HS Diploma or GED required; 4+ years of phlebotomy experience in outpatient or hospital setting.

Responsabilidades

• Perform accurate venipuncture and specimen collection.
• Enter patient demographics, orders, and billing information in EMR/LIS.
• Identify patient growth/development stage and communicate appropriately to diverse age groups.
• Maintain safety, infection control, and HIPAA compliance.
• Provide professional, compassionate communication with patients, families and staff.
