Job summary

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• 4+ years phlebotomy training and experience in an outpatient or hospital setting.
• ASCP PBT or MLA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Identifies the stage of growth and development of patients and significant others to tailor communication.
• Performs venipuncture and specimen collection with accuracy and adheres to SOPs.
• Enters patient demographics, test orders, and billing information into EMR/LIS.
• Maintains a safe, orderly work area and follows HIPAA regulations.
