Penn Medicine is seeking a Phlebotomist Laboratory Assistant II to draw blood for diagnostic testing from patients across age groups and to process various clinical specimens. The role requires accurate specimen labeling, adherence to SOPs, and safe, compassionate patient interactions.

The candidate will enter data in EMR/LIS, follow age-specific collection techniques, and maintain equipment and logs while promoting Penn Medicine BE standards and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• Phlebotomy training and experience in outpatient or hospital setting preferred.
• Experience with Laboratory Information System advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Collect blood samples via venipuncture and capillary techniques.
• Enter patient demographics, orders, and billing into EMR/LIS accurately.
• Maintain safety, HIPAA compliance, and proper specimen handling and labeling.
