Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our central operations. The role focuses on dispensing, inventory, and regulatory compliance in a hospital setting.

You will train new staff, manage automated dispensing systems, and ensure accurate billing and documentation across sterile and non-sterile processes. A state-registered tech with CPhT and sterile compounding experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years hospital pharmacy experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• State-registered Pharmacy Technician.
• CPhT certification.
• Sterile compounding experience.

Responsibilities

• Restocks floor stock and automated dispensing machines.
• Enters charges/credits to patient profiles for accurate billing.
• Monitors medication order reports and assigns meds to automated dispensing systems.
• Delivers medications ensuring compliance with DEA, DPH and State Board regulations.
• Prepares and dispenses IV medications per USP standards; maintains QA records.
• Checks for expired or damaged medications and disposes per regulations.
• Coordinates training for new staff in Central Pharmacy Operations.
• Assists with development of operational standards and training materials.
