Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, TX is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Technician to support daily operations under supervision. The role rotates days and evenings with weekend work required, and involves sterile compounding responsibilities for eligible patients.

ACPE IV Certification is preferred, as is prior sterile compounding experience. Candidates should have a high school diploma and at least one year of pharmacy tech experience, plus BLS certification upon hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of experience in pharmacy or equivalent technician.
• (TSBP) REG PHARMACY TECHNICIAN upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire.
• (PTCB) Certified Compounding Sterile Prep preferred.

Responsibilities

• Extemporaneous compounding and IV admixtures with proper aseptic technique.
• Enter charges, restock returns, and manage unit-dose packaging.
• Fill orders accurately and monitor inventory costs.
• Provide prompt, courteous service and triage requests.
• Audit and sign out controlled substances per policy.
• Assist with drug inventory management and PAR levels.
• Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas.
