Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacist-led operations in a busy retail setting. You will assist with prescription processing, data entry, inventory management, and customer service across OTC and pharmacy areas.

Qualified candidates have a minimum of one year of pharmacy tech experience, PTCB or ExCPT certification, fluent English, and a willingness to work evenings/weekends and to obtain immunization certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification is required (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in retail or hospital.
• Fluent in reading, writing and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions and entering Rx data.
• Lead pharmacy department inventory management activities.
• Process (corrects and resubmits) third-party claims timely.
• Handle cash register, assist customers to locate products.
• Support clinical services and coordination with providers as needed.
• Ensure compliance with policies, quality improvement program and safety.
