Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacists in dispensing and patient care in a busy retail setting. You will handle prescription processing, data entry, inventory tasks and customer service, under the supervision of the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist.

The role requires PTCB or ExCPT certification, at least one year of pharmacy tech experience, and a willingness to work evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• PTCB or ExCPT certification is required (except in Puerto Rico).
• One year of work experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or hospital setting.
• Fluent reading, writing, and speaking English is required.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except where prohibited).

Responsibilities

• Assist in pharmacy practice under pharmacist supervision per policy.
• Enter patient and drug information in pharmacy systems and process prescriptions.
• Support inventory management, ordering, checking, and storage of Rx drugs.
• Provide customer service and guide customers to OTC products when possible.
• Coach technicians and cashiers to improve pharmacy efficiency.
