Job summary

WALGREENS Careers is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist under supervision, processing prescriptions and handling patient information with accuracy. You will train and coach technicians and cashiers, support inventory, and help ensure a positive customer experience in a busy retail pharmacy.

The role requires PTCB certification (except Puerto Rico), one year of relevant experience, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• PTCB certification is required (except Puerto Rico).
• One year of pharmacy technician experience in a retail or hospital setting.
• English reading, writing, and speaking fluency.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire (except in locations under collective bargaining).

Responsibilities

• Assist the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy and follow company policies.
• Operate pharmacy systems to enter patient/drug information and process prescriptions; coach technicians and cashiers.
• Provide exceptional customer service and resolve issues to deliver a delightful patient experience.
• Support inventory management and pharmacy KPI reviews with the Pharmacy Manager.
• Assist with external clinical services coordination and maintain professional relationships with providers.
