Job summary

Walgreens in the United States is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist, handling prescriptions, data entry, and customer service to ensure a safe, positive experience for patients.

Under pharmacist supervision, you'll assist with dispensing, inventory, and claims processing, while maintaining compliant documentation and contributing to overall pharmacy performance.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification (except in Puerto Rico).
• Willingness to obtain active immunization certification within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist under pharmacist supervision in dispensing and medication safety duties.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems accurately.
• Fill prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring pharmaceuticals; verify accuracy.
• Support inventory management and prepare shipments for pharmacists.
• Handle cash register operations and assist with OTC customer requests.
• Coordinate with physicians and third-party prescription processing as needed.
• Assist with clinical services coordination and Walgreens health clinics when required.
