Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist the pharmacist in dispensing medicines, entering patient data, and supporting daily pharmacy operations in a fast-paced retail setting.

You will interact with customers, process prescriptions, and help manage inventory while maintaining compliance with policies and safety standards. Collaboration with the pharmacy team ensures accurate, timely service to patients and the community.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• PTCB or ExCPT certification is required; immunization certification within 90 days is preferred.
• Minimum 1 year experience as pharmacy technician in retail or hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacist in dispensing medicines by retrieving, counting and pouring drugs.
• Enter patient and drug information into pharmacy systems accurately.
• Support pharmacy operations, including scheduling, inventory management and checking for interactions.
• Handle pharmacy-related calls and assist patients with OTC purchases.
• Process third-party prescription claims and support quality improvement initiatives.
