Overview

This is a remote position for Pharmacy Technicians that are highly motivated and capable of collaborating with pharmacy staff, Pharmacy Directors, VPOs, and other operational team members to increase and ensure the success of our pharmacies.

The role requires understanding all pharmacy technician functions, leadership skills, strong strategizing abilities, and project management capabilities.

This is a remote opportunity where you work from home and travel (75%) to your assigned locations. The ideal candidate will reside west of the Mississippi (Central through Pacific Time Zones), be near an airport, and be adaptable, flexible, and capable of functioning effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Licensures: PTCB and/or licensed in your state of residence

Responsibilities

On-Site Collaboration:

• Under the supervision of the Senior Technician, Internal Operations, collaborate with the Site Pharmacy Director to implement workflow and productivity measures to meet performance and customer expectations.
• Assist in executing company initiatives, core processes, and quality improvement strategies to enhance service quality.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and corporate policies.
• Support operational strategies for quality and cost containment, including pre-pack, front-end, and cycle-fill processes.
• Monitor pharmacy purchasing and inventory to meet goals like inventory turns, preferred products, and controlled substance monitoring.
• Implement policies for the safe procurement, storage, and disposal of drugs and biologicals.

Technician Responsibilities:

• Fill prescriptions, package medications, and prepare medications, including non-sterile compounding, as permitted by law.
• Work with controlled substances, automated machines, and assist in inventory management.
• Input data into systems, prepare IV medications, and maintain cleanliness and safety in the IV room.

Project Management:

• Assist in project planning, monitoring, and reporting under the guidance of the Sr Pharmacist, Internal Operations.
• Participate in policy development and strategic planning for pharmacy outcomes.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• At least 5 years of LTC technician and leadership experience required; 10+ years preferred.
• Required licensure: Multistate registration and national certification; state licensure as applicable.
• Travel requirement: 75%+ travel expected.
