Overview
This is a remote, traveling position for Pharmacy Technicians who are highly motivated and capable of collaborating with pharmacy staff, Pharmacy Directors, VPOs, and other operational team members to increase and ensure the success of our pharmacies. The role requires understanding all pharmacy technician functions, leadership skills, strategic planning, and project management capabilities.

Candidates should live west of the Mississippi (Central through Pacific Time Zones), be within commuting distance to an airport, and be adaptable to a fast-paced environment. Licenses required include PTCB and/or state licensure.

Responsibilities:

On-Site Collaboration:

• Implement workflow and productivity measures with the Site Pharmacy Director.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
• Monitor purchasing and inventory.
• Ensure safe procurement, storage, and disposal of drugs.

Technician Responsibilities:

• Fill prescriptions and prepare medications.
• Work in controlled substances and with automated machines.
• Assist with inventory and data entry.
• Maintain sterile environments for IV medications.

Project Management:

• Estimate and plan work with team members.
• Monitor problem resolution and participate in policy tasks.
• Support pharmacy outcome strategies.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years LTC technician and leadership experience; 10 years preferred.
• Multistate licensure and national certification required.
• Travel requirement: 75%+.

Physical Demands:

• Standing, sitting, walking, lifting.
