Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks a medication history pharmacy technician to interview patients and caregivers, document findings, and ensure accurate medication lists in the medical record. The role supports pharmacists and the healthcare team in safe medication distribution.

Under supervision, you will handle sterile compounding, inventory, and quality improvement initiatives, while maintaining patient care standards and following LC policies.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be a Registered Technician or Pharmacy Intern with the Massachusetts Board of Pharmacy and PTCB certified or a Pharmacy student in good standing with Mass. internship license.
• Knowledge of standard pharmaceutical/medical terms, abbreviations and symbols used in prescribing/dispensing medications.
• Experience with electronic medical records preferred.
• At least one year of Pharmacy experience including sterile compounding and/or retail.

Responsabilidades

• Interview patient to obtain a complete list of home medications and document findings in the medical record.
• Communicate pertinent medication information with the medical team, nursing staff and pharmacy staff.
• Repackages and compounds medications as needed per procedures.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels and coordinate with the Pharmacy Buyer.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and support day‑to‑day operations.
