Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks a Medication History Pharmacy Technician to interview patients and caregivers to obtain complete home medication lists, confirm with secondary sources, and document findings in the medical record for the care team.

Under supervision of the medication history pharmacist, the technician will support multiple pharmacy areas, assist with training, maintain inventory, and participate in quality improvements while ensuring timely, safe medication distribution.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Registered Technician or Pharmacy Intern with MA Board of Pharmacy and PTCB certified, or a Pharmacy student in good standing with Mass. internship license.
• One year of Pharmacy experience including sterile compounding or retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Interview patients, families, or caregivers to obtain complete medication lists.
• Document findings in the medical record and communicate with the medical team and pharmacy staff.
• Assist in multiple areas within the Pharmacy (Central, OR, Sterile, Hazardous compounding, etc.).
• Support quality assurance and process improvement initiatives in the department.
• Maintain appropriate inventory and respond to calls with professional customer service.
